{"id":265,"date":"2009-09-29T14:39:13","date_gmt":"2009-09-29T12:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.khm.de\/sag\/?p=265"},"modified":"2009-09-29T14:39:13","modified_gmt":"2009-09-29T12:39:13","slug":"extended-text-walls-lines-by-franziska-windisch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sag.khm.de\/?p=265","title":{"rendered":"extended text : Walls &amp; Lines by Franziska Windisch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Walls &amp; Lines<br \/>\nFranziska Windisch<br \/>\nKlanginstallation<br \/>\nVerborgene R\u00e4ume \/ Scheibenmagazin<\/p>\n<p>This sound art project focuses on villages that have an unrecognized status, that have been evacuated, demolished or are heading these measures in the near future.<br \/>\nA sound installation gathers recordings and maps of different places, investigating a field between sound and movement, between cartography and scorescape.<br \/>\nIn those villages, the sound and vibrations that are occurring in the walls are recorded with contact microphones. Afterwards those recordings will be played back in the exhibition space.<br \/>\nTransducers will be attached to wooden plates hanging from the ceiling. Referring to the original walls, those architectural elements are transformed into audio displays.<br \/>\nReferring to a score, each playback situation will face a map, revealing the absence\/presence of the place, the recording was made.<br \/>\nSound recordings were made in unrecognized bedouin villages in the Negev and in the village Otzenrath next to the Garzweiler brown coal mining, that was recently demolished.<br \/>\nFor the intervention by the Center for Public Practice the investigation of Wollseifen became a central point.
