Dezember 2015<br \/>\nKunsthochschule f\u00fcr Medien K\u00f6ln<br \/>\nFilzengraben 2, 50676 K\u00f6ln<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wus.khm.de\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/wus.khm.de<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Das zweit\u00e4gige Symposium <em>Women under Surveillance<\/em> tritt vermeintlich neutralen Definitionen von \u00dcberwachung entgegen. Es f\u00fchrt einen k\u00fcnstlerischen und interdisziplin\u00e4ren Dialog \u00fcber \u00dcberwachung im Digitalzeitalter. Dieses Bezugsfeld wird dabei mit einem besonderen Fokus auf dessen Bedeutung f\u00fcr Frauen diskutiert.<\/p>\n<p>Das Symposium bringt Vortr\u00e4ge, Performances, Installationen und Filmscreenings zusammen, die sich mit Themen wie Datensammlung oder Kontrollobsessionen im Namen der Sicherheit auseinandersetzen.<\/p>\n<p>Ziel ist die reine Diskussion, ob exzessive \u00dcberwachung notwendig und zielf\u00fchrend ist angesichts einer zunehmend unsichereren Welt, hinter sich zu lassen und stattdessen anhand geschlechtsspezifischer historischer \u00dcberwachungskomplexe, wie beispielsweise der Regulierung der Autonomie der Fortpflanzung und der Sexualit\u00e4t, die Frage zu stellen, wer von wem beobachtet wird, wie, warum und zu welchen Kosten?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Konzeption und Organisation: Prof. Julia Scher, Christian Sievers, Dieuwke Boersma und die Surveillant Architectures Group an der Kunsthochschule f\u00fcr Medien K\u00f6ln. Filmprogramm kuratiert von Christa Pfafferott.
